How to Start the Registration Process

If you are reviewing this section, you must have completed your training session in which case a Visual Planner Account has been established for your organization. As the Administrative Contact, you automatically receive an "Initiation Email" (see an example here) with the required information to start the registration process.

 

The Visual Planner Registration is a one-time process consisting of 2 short steps:
  1. Enter Dealership Information
    In this step, you are asked to enter the contact information for your business. Simply follow the instructions in the email and on each page to proceed:
    1. Access the Visual Planner Dealer Registration website using the link provided in the email: http://www.visual-planner.com/CUSTOMSHOPPE/dealer-signup/
    2. Enter (or copy & paste) your DEALER REGISTRATION CODE from the email into the appropriate field and click Enter to continue:
    3. Carefully read the legal notice on the following page and press 'I AGREE' if you like to proceed:
    4. Enter the requested information for your dealership. This information is displayed in Visual Planner (including on print-outs of 2D/3D and Quote) and allows you to customize the system with your specific contact information.
      - Dealership. Name of dealership previously entered by Animated Vision.
      - Level #. This number refers to your price display options in the system and is always confirmed with you during your training session. Note: Prices in the system should match your printed catalog. Please contact Animated Vision with any questions in this regard.
      - Price Shown: Y (yes) or N (no). This is another Price Display related option automatically selected by the system based on your catalog prices.
      - Address (city, state, zip) & Phone Number. Enter the appropriate information for your dealership in the fields provided.
      - Dealer website. Provide dealership website address, if available (not required).
      - Upload dealer logo. This is another part of your ability to customize the interface with your company's material. Note: Leave this field empty if you do not have access to your logo at this time. You can always come back and upload it in the future.
      Click 'BROWSE' and find the appropriate image for your dealership logo. (The file must be in a JPEG (.jpg) format and must confirm to 100 pixels (length) and 50 pixels (height)). Click 'UPCUSTOMSHOPPETE' to continue.
       
    5. On the following page, confirm that all information entered for your dealership is accurate. Choose 'EDIT' to go back and modify your information or 'NEXT' to complete this part of the registration process.
  2. Register Administrator
    1. With your company's contact information successfully entered, you will now complete your own registration as the Administrative Contact by entering the following information:
      - First Name / Last Name

      - Email. Previously entered by Animated Vision and cannot be modified.

      - Password. This password is the only one you will need in the future. The combination of your email address and this password will allow you to both, return to the Administration Page AND access Visual Planner to layout offices.

    2. Upon completion, click 'Update' to continue.
    3. On the following page, please confirm that all information entered is accurate. Choose 'EDIT' to go back and modify your information or 'NEXT' to complete your registration.
    4. A confirmation page will indicate your successful registration. Click the 'NEXT' button to complete the process.

NOTE: At this point, a confirmation email (see an example here) is automatically sent to your email address. You can use this email to allow additional employees to register for their own accounts.

With your registration completed, you can now proceed to an Administration Page for your reference. You can always return to this site using the same Registration Link as used above: http://www.visual-planner.com/CUSTOMSHOPPE/dealer-signup/

However, please note that you will need to use your email address and newly selected password to re-enter this site. The Dealership Registration code is no longer valid.

Future Account Login: Administrator

As seen at the end of your initial registration process, this page gives you an overview of your account along with the list of users registered.

To access this site, simply visit http://www.visual-planner.com/CUSTOMSHOPPE/dealer-signup/ and enter your Email and Password to access your account information. Note: The dealership registration code is no longer valid.

Administrators can access the following information from this page.

- Dealership contact information.

- An email field to send a registration email to a new staff member. Use this field in case you lost or can no longer find the initial email sent to you.

- A list of all registered users for your dealership. To edit registered users, simple click 'EDIT USER' and edit first name, last name, email or password. To permanently remove a user from the system, click 'DELETE USER'. The administrator's account information cannot be deleted from this list. For changes to the Administrator account, please contact the Animated Vision support team.

How to Start the Registration Process

All you need to establish your own account with Visual Planner is a Registration Email (see an example here) from the designated Administrative Contact at your organization.

- Once you receive the email from your Administrator, simply click on the 'Staff Registration Link' and enter the required information. Click 'Register' to proceed:

- First Name / Last Name

- Email

-Password / Verify Password

 

Your registration is complete! From this confirmation page, you can either select "Edit your Account" to go back and make any changes or simply use the link provided to launch Visual Planner.

NOTE: You will also receive an email containing this information for your records.


 

Future Account Login: Staff Members

As a registered user, you can access and edit your account information including name, email, and password.

  1. Visit the Dealer Login/Registration site at: http://www.visual-planner.com/CUSTOMSHOPPE/dealer-signup/
  2. Login with your existing email address & password and click the "Edit your Account" button to make appropriate changes.
  3. Don't forget to click 'Update' to save your changes.
  1. As the Administrator, how do I register additional users if I lost the initial Staff Registration email I received?
    1. Login using your Administrator Email Address and Password
    2. Just below your Company Information and Logo (if uploaded), you will find an email field you can use to generate a Staff Registration Email for additional users.
  2. Note: You can only send one (1) email at a time from this section. Alternatively, you can also enter your own email address into this field and simply forward the email you receive to multiple users at once.
  3. The Dealership Registration Code I received does not seem to work when I try to return to the Administration Page. What am I doing wrong?
    The original Dealer Registration Code you received from the system is ONLY used the very first time you login in order to start your registration process. Simply use your own password in combination with your email address to login to the Administration Page.
  4. Now that my company is registered, how do we implement Visual Planner into our website so that our customers can use it as well?
    Implementing Visual Planner into your website is as simple as adding a link. As a stand-alone application, Visual Planner can be added to any site regardless of the server hardware and software in place. Please refer to the following page for generic instructions as well as screenshots of the system.
    As with any changes to your site, please contact your webmaster to initiate this process.
  5. How do I change my email or password after I register?
    For Standard Users:
    1. Login using your email address and existing password
    2. Click 'EDIT your Account"
    3. Select a new email or password and verify it if necessary.
    4. Make sure to click 'Register' to save the changes.
    For Administrators:
    1. Login using your email address and existing password
    2. Once logged in, find your name in the list of users and click 'Edit'.
    3. Select a new password and verify it.
    4. Make sure to click 'Update' to save your changes.
    Note: For security purposes, Administrative emails can ONLY be changed by Animated Vision. Please contact our support team with inquiries in this regard.
